Things to Consider when Searching for a College
ACT WorkKeys will be administered on a single date, at the same time and under standardized conditions, for all eleventh grade South Carolina public school students. A make-up date will be available for students who are not able to test on the designated statewide administration date.
Spring 2015 ACT WorkKeys® testing dates are as follows:
Test date April 29, 2015 (Wednesday)
Make-up test date May 13, 2015 (Wednesday)
An extended testing window will be provided for students testing using testing accommodations. This test window begins April 29, 2015 and ends May 13, 2015.
To achieve consistent student results, schools should plan to administer ACT WorkKeys® as the first activity of the day on the specified testing dates. Testing must begin by 9:00 a.m. Total testing time is approximately 3 ½ hours. ACT will make all the arrangements for the delivery and pick-up of testing materials.
The SCDE provided ACT with contact information for each District Test Coordinator (DTC) and School Test Coordinator (STC). STCs will participate in an ACT establishment process in early November (similar to the enrollment process for EOCEP and SCPASS assessment programs). ACT will provide information via e-mail and an ACT-hosted website. ACT offers schools and districts assistance through e-mail and a toll-free telephone number. ACT will also provide training beginning in November.
Schools and districts will be receiving announcements, training, and other information from ACT; the first e-mails regarding ACT WorkKeys® will be sent the week of October 27.
