Mr. Patrick Martin is District Teacher of the Year
Congratulations to SOA High School English Teacher Mr. Patrick Martin, for being chosen as the CCSD District Teacher of the Year.
SOA Senior Wins Nation's Two Top Writing Prizes
SOA Creative Writing major and senior, Niamh Carmichael, is one of only six students in the nation to be awarded the YoungArts Award with Distinction in Fiction as well as the nation’s other highest honor for a teen writer – the Scholastic Gold Medal Portfolio.
SOA Student Awarded College-Sponsored National Merit Scholarship
"We are incredibly proud of Sophia and this outstanding achievement," said Charleston County School of the Arts Principal Dr. Shannon Cook. "Being named a National Merit college-sponsored scholarship recipient reflects her academic excellence, dedication, and commitment to learning. We look forward to seeing all that she accomplishes at the College of Charleston."
