BIOGRAPHY
A graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University, he taught at the BAK Middle School of the Arts in West Palm Beach, FL before joining the Charleston County School of the Arts (CCSOA) in 1999 and is a recipient of the South Carolina Theatre Association’s Outstanding Theatre Educator Award  for his teaching and outreach programs. In his production work he has directed and/or designed well over 75 productions and mentored countless student lead productions as well work for, or lead, numerous educational theatre programs and/or summer camps.

Originally from Illinois, he has toured nationally and worked with theatre companies around the USA and Charleston as a director, designer and producer.  An active performer in the Charleston Theatre scene he is a Theatre 99 company member and tours in a one man adaptation of A Christmas Carol (Touring Christmas Carol) during the holiday season.

With over 25 years of teaching experience he also directs The Fighting Gnomes- CCSOA's HS Improv Troupe, teaches technical theatre, leads workshops at state and regional conferences, runs a prison theatre program and coordinates with Theater 99 the annual South Carolina High School Improv Tournament on the CCSOA Campus.  His professional affiliations have included- Actors' Equity, Southeastern Theatre Conference and the National Endowment for the Arts.
