The School-to-Work Mitigation Program is looking for 9 students, 16 years of age or older, who are also interested in the transportation industry, but who may benefit from additional training in work ethics and leadership skills. OPPORTUNITIES

UNITED STATES SENATE YOUTH PROGRAM

The USSYP, funded by The Hearst Foundations, provides opportunities or students with demonstrated interest in public service to deepen their interest and understanding of America’s political processes and encourage their commitment to political leadership. Each high school can only submit the name of one (1) eligible student to compete in this $10K college scholarship competition. In addition to the Hearst Foundation's student eligibility requirement, students must meet​ the following South Carolina Department of Education qualifications:

·  Minimum 3.0 overall GPA

·  Strong academic performance in social studies

·  Extensive knowledge of current events, and

·   Knowledge of the state and federal governments’ political systems. Brochure
